Dr. Jing Ling is a distinguished expert whose career bridges the fields of engineering and finance, offering a unique interdisciplinary perspective. He holds a Ph.D. from Beihang University and an MBA from Michigan State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Dr. Ling began his career in 1993 as a Senior Researcher at the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI), contributing to globally recognized journals such as the International Journal of Vehicle Design, Quality Engineering, and Quality and Reliability Engineering. Later, he spent eight years at Chrysler Corporation as a Senior Technical Specialist, where he gained acclaim for his contributions to automotive design and quality engineering. His technical expertise earned him a fellowship with the American Society for Quality and a role as a judge for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Transitioning to finance in 2005, Dr. Ling joined Chrysler Financial, specializing in interest rate and currency risk management, where he applied derivatives to manage complex financial risks. As Senior Vice President of Chrysler’s retirement fund since 2009, he has overseen $50 billion in assets across various classes, including equities, fixed income, private equity, hedge funds, and commodities. His rigorous engineering mindset enhances his precision in financial risk assessment and strategic decision-making.

Dr. Ling’s multidisciplinary background creates a synergy between engineering and finance, enabling him to excel in capital management and investment strategy. His profound understanding of technical standards and risk controls has earned him recognition as a thought leader in the financial sector.
